Culture, social justice, queer issues, disability rights, arts, Boston, and stuff I think is cool.
eeka,it is funny. and i love how google just truncates things in the best places all the time. I wanted to point out to you that The Spotlight Program is something that I would love to get my son in, but it is too far from my house for him to participate in after school. I have a friend (through Rebel Shakespeare) who used the program with his son to tremendous and amazing results for his social skills, and his acting skills! it's right up geoff's alley.so it was kind of cool seeing your little zoomed in ha ha ha thing there. had to share.wheee!christine
Yes, I've heard great things about the program too!BTW, thanks for reminding me (didn't know you did, did ya?) -- I need to post the info for the movement to get the state to change the Department of Mental Retardation (or RetarTed, in this case!) to the Department of Developmental Services. Besides the obvious point that people don't need to be reminded on a daily basis that they have "retardation," it's just no longer accurate, since a lot of people with autism or LD who don't have MR are getting services through DMR.
