Lack of tummy time causes developmental problems

See? Not putting kids on their tummies can cause lifelong problems, but there's still no evidence that germs that may or may not be on your floor cause anything other than development of the immune system, and no evidence that babies crying because they don't like tummy time causes anything other than increased frustration tolerance and practice on the parent's part of setting limits. Oh, plus you can spend all that money on more worthwhile things than several baby-restraining contraptions in each room.

I-statements, shmi-statements!

Some pretty awesome advice I was given: "You'll be fine; just use your I-statements. Uh, and remember, 'I think that you should' is not an I-statement!"

THE SUSPENSE IS KILLING ME

Next step is repainting the living room. I'm thinking I'm going to make the ceiling Benjamin Moore Vintage Wine and the walls Benjamin Moore Wasabi.

Here's a picture of the two colors together, ganked from the Benjamin Moore site:

Imagine looking up at the Vintage Wine, with the Wasabi on the walls around you. Along with the brown furniture and white mouldings. I think it works.

Also going to do some wainscoting on the right-hand wall, probably something like this with a picture ledge on top.

I really want to put up crown moulding too, but it's expensive. I might see if the Boston Building Materials Resource Center has any.
